VLCC active fruits damage repair body lotion

I used body lotion from VLCC once but didn’t quite like it. It was too thick to absorb and not at all moisturizing for my dry legs. Since then, I never used any body lotion from VLCC again. End of the story?

No!

I surprised myself last month, when I got these two cute little bottles of VLCC body lotion purely on whim. Well, cheap thrills, you may call as the bottles were on buy one get one free (my favorite excuse). How could I resist such a tempting offer!

And so this brings me to review VLCC Active Fruits Damage Repair Body Lotion with SPF 30, something which I never believed I’d been doing after my previous bad experience with the brand’s bath & body product.

VLCC Active Fruits Damage Repair Body Lotion with Pomegranate + Argan oil + SPF 30 = Shea Butter Review

What it is?

A two-in-one body lotion that provides superior hydration and sun protection in a single product.

Who is it for?

While, it’s meant for people with dry, scaly skin like me or those looking for a good winter body moisturizer but I’ve found it be more suitable for those with normal to oily and combination skin. Dry skin beauties may be better off with thicker formulas.

What it’s supposed to do?

The description on the bottle says that VLCC Active Fruits is not just an ordinary body lotion but rather a power packed innovative delivery system that provides multiple benefits of rare exotic ingredients in a superior and safe manner.

It is an oil-infused lotion that increases the moisture delivery capability of the body lotion and helps lock in moisture for a longer duration. Enriched with exotic ingredients like Pomegranate, argan oil, and Shea butter, the product claims to repair one week of dry skin damage in one day.

It deeply conditions skin, repairs dry damaged skin to give you smooth radiant skin.

How’s the packaging like?

Comes in a cute pale pink plastic bottle that’s travel friendly and convenient to use in shower.

How’s the texture and scent?

VLCC active fruits damage repair body lotion It has light texture that’s neither too thick nor too runny. While, it looks almost white in color, it has a faint pink hue to it that looks and feels lovely. I like the way it just sinks into the skin without leaving any trace or film behind.

It has a fruity, floral smell that feels soft and feminine to the senses. It doesn’t stay for long and fades away in an hour or so.

What it contains?

Aqua, paraffinum liquidum, sunflower seed oil, glycerin, dimethicone, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, potassium cetyl phosphate, propylene glycol, isopropyl myristate, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, oxybenzone, trehalose, carbomer, argan kernel oil, olive oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, maltodextrin, punica granatum flower extract, sodium ascorbyl phosphate, grape seed oil, cetearyl alcohol, ceteareth-20, perfume, polysorbate 80, glyceryl stearate, triethanolamine, acrylates/c10-30, alkyl acrylate, crosspolymer, stearic acid, cetyl alcohol, lanoline, triethylene glycol, phenoxyethanol, disodium EDTA, BHT, CI 77891, CI 20285.

VLCC active fruits damage repair body lotion What’s the price?

INR 135 for 100 ml

How do you use it?

Take appropriate amount of body lotion on palm. Apply all over your body after bath on damp skin or as and when your skin feels dry & parched.

What’s good about it?

The best thing about this body lotion is the unique concoction of exotic ingredients it contains and its flattering texture. It spreads and absorbs into skin easily & quickly without leaving any trace or residue.

It’s fine fruity-floral fragrance feels fresh & feminine. I love the scent, texture and pale pink color.
I also like the fact it’s free from parabens and contains SPF 30 for added damage protection from UV rays.

Another big plus is the price. At INR 135 for 100ml, it’s definitely cheap. And I got mine at half of this price, woo hoo!

What’s bad about it?

I wish VLCC active fruits damage repair body lotion did not contain liquid paraffin and alcohols on top of its ingredients list. The exotic active ingredients are mentioned quite late in the list. This is nitpicky thing!

Also, the product claims to repair one week of dry skin in one day, which is not true. It’s moderately moisturizing, which is fine for my body but not enough for my legs. I have to reapply this lotion in the night to prevent ashy legs the next morning.

R2B Rating:

3.5/5

The bottomline:

If you like light lotions, VLCC active fruits damage repair body lotion is one worth trying. Despite all of its negatives, you can’t beat the amount you get for the price. And the fact, it comes with SPF 30 is like an icing on the cake.

  1. This sounds good for the cheap price point. VLCC products aren’t that good usually, but for that price we can’t ask more…
